Win a strategy guide for your favorite MMORPG
We’ve already talked about World of Warcraft a couple of times on insideTonic: we made a full review of the game and we also covered the launch of its expansion set, The Burning Crusade. However, this time we’d like to have you involved.
insideTonic has teamed up with Killerguides, a website specialized in professional MMORPG strategy guides that can dramatically improve your gaming experience. Killerguides offers guides for the most popular RPG, such as EverQuest, Final Fantasy XI, Guild Wars, Lineage 2, Star Wars Galaxies and of course, World of Warcraft. They are all available for purchase but we’re now giving some of them for free in our contest.
All you have to do is answer this simple question: Which novel, movie or fantasy world should be turned into a MMORPG next? Put your imagination to work and leave us a comment with all your ideas for a future RPG.
Killerguides and insideTonic will pick up the best three answers for their originality, humor and level of detail. Prizes include a complete game guide package for first place and one guide of your choice for second and third places respectively.

It’s too bad you didn’t mention anime series, because I think the Naruto universe would fit perfectly in a MMORPG (maybe it fits in “fantasy world”? ;P). Be a ninja from any of the hidden villages, learn the masters’ techniques or create your own style… Would be awesome!
But ok, let’s concentrate on movies or novels… I recently saw the movie “28 Weeks Later”, and alright, maybe it’s hard to see how it could be ported into the MMORPG genre, but think about it… Imagine it like a game placed in our own planet (I think no MMORPG did this yet!), where you and other civilians try to survive against hordes of Rage-infected people. If you are good enough maybe you can become a member of the army and fight them with better weapons, or maybe you prefer to join the scientists and doctors and try to find a cure? I think it would be an interesting setup
As for novels, who wouldn’t want a Harry Potter MMORPG? I bet someone is already trying to make one!

Hmm… Maybe The Deltora Series, though it is a young reader series….
Anybody remember the Animorphs? That would work. As for fantasy world, I’m not sure.

Wait… no. On the Voyager? Rather hard with all the dark scenes and all, but, still.
And I’d like a Final Fantasy MMO. Yeah. That oughta be cool.

Although many MMORPGs are crowded with kids (or at least act that way), how about one specially designed for them?
The Lion King movies were a big success and some of the figures have their own series. The jungle environment could offer great places to wander around as any of the many animals (classes): Lion, boar, monkey, giraffe, etc. Like in the movie, you grow older if you get more experience. The world should be filled with small puzzles and quests, or mini games like in the (Nintendo’s) Zelda games.
Factions can be realised by adding the “evil” animals like: Hyena, snake, etc. Although the implications of adding animal fights might make the game less suitable for kids. On the other hand, it might be the biggest attraction
