You’re probably paying a lot for a bunch of megabytes in bandwidth, but how do you know if you’re really making the most of it? Use BitMeter II and keep an eye on your Internet connection, including top downloading and uploading speeds, amount of data downloaded and possible bottlenecks. Its latest version, 3.5.5, includes an improved installer and optimized stats windows.

Thanks for the review, but the wording is slightly misleading - BitMeter doesn’t actually let you ‘control’ anything about your internet connection, it just allows you to monitor it.
