Even though Tom’s bailed out, lots of us are still dedicated Facebook users. There’s nothing worse, however, than having a quick peek at your news feed from a friend’s computer only to realize 5 hours later that you never logged out. Even though most friends aren’t the malicious type, we’ve all seen enough Facebook fails to know that logging out is VERY important.

You’ll be pleased to hear, then, that Facebook has added a handy remote logout feature for all users. Just head over to Settings > Account Settings > Account Security and you’ll see a new option: Account Activity. If you’re logged in on more than one computer, you’ll see the evidence here. You should be able to judge by the location and device type what login you are looking at, and if your computers have names, they’ll be extra easy to identify. If you see a login that’s not what you want or expect, hit end activity and your Facebook account will be safe from any “hilarious” jokes your friends can throw at you!
